This application can be used on rooted and non-rooted devices.
If using a rooted device, the application updates the system hosts file with a corresponding list of host names and IP addresses.
If using a non-rooted device, the app uses VPN functionality to block connections to ads and trackers.
So when an application requests an ad or tracker from a host in this file, the request is redirected to the local IP 127.0.0.1 and nothing happens.
Software Highlights
You can download a predefined list of ad blockers as a hosts file within the application.
You can also use your own profiles and add certain hosts to your allowed and blocked lists.
There is an option to create a local web server that responds to blocked hostname connection requests and redirects to your custom IP address.
